Fly Fishing 101 

Interested in fly fishing but don't know where to start? You will not find a better chance to learn than this. This class is designed to teach anyone interested in fly fishing, or looking for a few pointers. We go over everything from rods, reels, fly line, leader, tippet, knots, flies, hatches, places to fish, indicators, and finish with a casting lesson. The class starts at 11:00 am, and takes roughly an hour. No sign up is required, but a call ahead of time is always nice. Here are the dates for our fly fishing 101 class.

Fly Fishing for Pike

No one is more excited to fly fish for big northerns than me! This class is designed for anyone interested in hooking into a big old slough shark on the fly. We will cover everything from the right gear, when to use different fly lines, when to use heavy monofilament, fluorocarbon, and steel leader, hot flies, knots, and places to fish. This class starts at 5:00 pm and is about an hour long. This class will take place May 27.

Fly Fishing for Bass

There aren't many fish that fight like a hardy smallmouth bass. Now is your chance to get in on the action! I will talk about everything you need to know to effectively catch local smallmouth bass on the fly. This includes rods, reels, line, flies, leader, tippet, and place to fish from shore/boat. This class starts at 5:00 pm, and takes roughly an hour. The dates for this class are 6/10, and 7/8.
