2017 Missouri River Cleanup and Craig Caddis Fest

The Missouri River Fly Fishers of Great Falls and the Pat Barnes Chapter of Trout Unlimited from Helena are teaming up for a Missouri River Clean Up on Saturday May 20th.  The plan is to meet in the Trout Shop parking lot at 10:00 am.

Trout Shop address: 275 Bridge Street, Craig, MT 59648

Participants will disperse from there by boat or on foot to recover stuff that should not be in the river or on the banks.

If you have questions or would like to RSVP your participation, please contact Paul Considine at riverreporter@gmail.com

Plan to return to the parking lot between 3 and 3:30 pm. Brian Neilsen of Fin Fetchers Outfitters is going to provide a flatbead trailer to pick up all the trash bags, tires or whatever other items are removed from the river.

I fly fish to live.” (25+ years guiding) “I live to fly fish” (Obsession). At the age of two, I captured my first Bluegill in Southern Michigan. Since then, I have never stopped looking into waters for fish. My first wild trout came from the waters of Glacier NP a few years later. I spent much of my youth chasing fish in Wisconsin, the Great Lakes and throughout central Canada. I went to Alaska in 1989, where I met my wife, started a family and spent 26 seasons guiding anglers. Great Falls and the North 40 Fly Shop are now home base. Stop by and lets talk fish, bear encounters or even my experience with Bigfoot.
