Fly of the Week: Montana Intruder

Adapted from a gaudy Flashabou intruder style fly that worked well for Alaska salmon, the #montanaintruder utilizes a troutier color scheme. Gold and copper flashabou offer great movement and attraction when flash is desired. The gold UV polar chenille has undeniable fish mojo and provides just enough bulk to balance the profile. Senyo’s laser dub shapes the head.

While designed with the two-handed trouter in mind, the Montana Intruder will work on any fly line delivery system. Swing it slow when the water is cold and move it along at a quicker rate when metabolisms are higher.
