North 40 Fly Shop talks with Rich Hone to give Simms Dry Creek backpack an overview at the 2017 IFTD Show in Orlando.

Designed for performance and made for those extended, gear-intensive fishing excursions, the Simms Dry Creek Backpack keeps your stuff secure, safe and dry. Loaded with the extras you expect of Simms and made of highly-durable 420D waterproof fabric this backpack includes; an inside zippered pocket, exterior stretch-mesh water bottle pockets, and a rod tube sleeve with a net carrying D-ring.

Hi. This is Rich Hohne at Simms Fishing Products here in Orlando, Florida, the 2017 IFTD Show and this is new for Fall. This is called the Dry Creek Backpack. So the Dry Creek has been in our line for a long time, roll top closures. Once you have this properly secured, it's gonna keep all of your critical gear super dry. We've increased the denier on this material this year from 150 to 420 D. So this stuff is super bomber. So you're gonna get welded seems and you're gonna get protection for your most critical gear. Three rolls in your nicer waterproof on this one. The design of this year's pack is completely different. We've included this exterior pocket here that's gonna have a ton of storage for critical gear that you want to have quick access to. I put fly boxes there or extra tip in or maybe a lunch you want to get access to. Here it has a storage pocket here that you can put an extra rod if you want in either a tube or a sock.

You can also put a net there or do a combination of both. Two water bottle or extra rod holders on the sides. Tons of cool features, like this really nicely sculpted harness here to attach to your back. You can also do the catch and release here to attach one of our Way Point chest packs or the other ones that have the catch and release functionality. Two tool ports, which you'll see in a lot of Simms packs here, tons and tons of thoughtful design on this. This is the Dry Creek backpack and this will be in stores July of this year.
