Lewiston Fishing Report 12.27.17

Lakes and Ponds (ID & WA)

Right now, focusing your time on stillwater fisheries is your best bet. Around the area you've got plenty of opportunities to take advantage of. Dworshak Reservoir has great bass fishing. I have been told by conventional anglers that the fishing is getting better and better as the spring progresses. This is leading me to believe that fly angling tactics are going to be effective, too. Winchester Lake's fishing is also picking up as well. You'll find a variety of species up there. From bluegill to tiger muskie, largemouth bass and rainbow trout, the possibilities to catch a new species are there. Mann Lake is the closest option to Lewiston that can bring good fishing. Largemouth bass, panfish, and rainbow trout are the key species. Fishing has been mediocre on the lake. Flies to use vary from baitfish patterns, to chironomids. A Woolly Bugger, Clouser Minnow, Home Invader, and a Yankee Buzzer are a few flies that can work, too.
