Lewiston Fishing Report 12.27.17

Lochsa River

An employee of the shop spent some time up river on his days off. He has reported that he could've given those fish the kitchen sink and they would've eaten it. At the time, he did not see any flying insects around. It is time to start fishing droppers. Flies to use would be attractor patterns. Royal Wulff, Parachute Adams, Chubby Chernobyl, Humpy, the kitchen sink. Nymphs to fish, pheasant tail, hares ear, zebra midge. Don't forget to throw a streamer while up there.

Grande Ronde (WA)

No reports from the Ronde. Yet the river has been dropping. Baitfish patterns and poppers are the arsenal we would be throwing. Clouser Minnow, Woolly Bugger, Galloup's Dungeon. As far as poppers go, it'll be up to your experimentation to figure out which one works.
